The
Construction Careers Event ‘Show Guide’ is the guide which supports
EMAP Construct’s twice yearly recruitment fair, where professional job
seekers are provided with the means to meet leading employers. The Show Guide
is distributed to some 100,000 readers of New Civil Engineer, Construction
News and Architects’ Journal. It contains details of the fair, biographies
of the employer firms attending the event and current affairs articles of
interest to those in the market for a new job.
Under contract to EMAP, Barrett, Byrd Associates for some years produced the editorial matter contained in the guide. The November 2003 and 2004 Show Guides were different, in that they were totally produced by our company. Barrett, Byrd Associates designed them, wrote the copy, subedited the biogs, positioned the advertising and presented EMAP with an electronic version of the guide on a disk for the publisher to pass to its printers. The Show Guides were subsequently successfuly printed and distributed.
