Aggregate
Industries UK produces aggregate, coated stone, ready mixed concrete and precast
concrete products. Quarrying is fundamental to its operations; and getting
its message across to the public when applying for planning consent to quarry
is absolutely vital.
Barrett, Byrd Associates was commissioned at short notice to produce a leaflet to support Aggregate Industries’ planning application to extend its extraction of sand and gravel at an existing quarry in Cambridgeshire. The leaflet was to contain details of the application, why the material was needed, Aggregate Industries’ commitment to the environment; and the company’s record of restoring exhausted workings.
We came up with an attractive, four colour, third folded A3 leaflet which presented the facts in readable layman’s terms. The document was well received and added weight to Aggregate Industries’ application.
