Case Study One:
New Steel Construction
NSC is produced by BBA for a partnership of the British Constructional Steelwork Association, Tata Steel and the Steel Construction Institute. It is the leading publication worldwide in its niche and exists to promote the contribution of structural engineers, architects, steelwork contractors and others involved in the construction of steel framed buildings, bridges and other structures.
NSC comes out ten times a year and is generally 44 pages, 32 of which are editorial. It circulates in the UK and Ireland to around 10,000 construction industry professionals, mostly structural engineers but also architects and quantity surveyors.
BBA has produced NSC since relaunching it in 2005, and it has since been redesigned in-house in October 2010. As well as producing the magazine BBA sells the advertising and manages the printing and distribution process.
Steel Construction News
SCN is a 100,000 circulation digest of articles from NSC, generally 28 pages, all but one of which is editorial. It is circulated as an ‘outsert’ with leading construction magazines such as Building, Construction Manager, Structural Engineer and Construction News. BBA negotiates insertion rates for publications like SCN and other marketing literature with mainstream magazines on behalf of our clients.
Digital publications
As well as producing paper versions of publications BBA also provides the option of pdf and digital versions, or e-magazines at very little extra cost.
