Recent product developments and a commitment to continually improving customer support were outlined to visitors to the Nynas Bitumen stand at Hillhead 2003 – The International Quarrying & Recycling Show.

Representatives from the company’s sales and technical teams were on hand to meet and greet thousands of leading industry figures who attended the three day event, held within Derbyshire’s Hillhead Quarry between 24 and 26 June.

Visitors to the Nynas stand were told about some exciting developments including the Nypol TS binder, recent advances in polymer modified bitumen and the company’s extensive capability in developing binders for cold-mix applications.

Product Support Manager Jukka Laitinen was on hand to explain Nynas Bitumen’s commitment to its customers. “I was at Hillhead to promote our extensive product support capability and explained to visitors how Nynas links the needs of the customer with research and development, technical support and our sales and marketing efforts,” he said.

Nynas Bitumen’s prominent stand was situated in the centre of the show’s pavilion. It featured vertical glass screens illuminated by soft blue and yellow lighting, set against a wooden platform and desk to help create the right impression and attract passing visitors to the stand.

Delegates were invited to take part in a competition to win a pair of Nynas sunglasses and watched a video presentation showing cold mix material being developed and laid.

Nynas Bitumen’s Southern Area Sales Manager Miles Williamson said: “It is extremely important for us to be exhibiting at what is the largest event of its kind in the world. Having a stand here helps to get our message across, answer any questions about our service and listen to feedback.”
